So here's the scoop on this haunted house...

Arnold and Marie Franklin had always wanted a child, but their luck was bad. They tried and tried again until a miracle happened; Joseph. They were astounded and extremely happy about their new baby. Arnold and Marie told their family, friends, and even neighbors about the great news. Marie went with Arnold to get an ultrasound, but again, their luck was bad. Marie had a miscarriage. Arnold was devastated, but the emotional pain that Marie felt was unbearable. The night that they got home from the hospital, they built a small grave under the tree in their front yard in memory of Joseph. That night during dinner, Marie excused herself early. She went upstairs and into her bedroom. She climbed out of the highest window in the house and on to the roof. She felt that nothing was ever going to go in her favor, so what was her purpose? She jumped. Arnold went upstairs to check on Marie. She had been up there for a while now. Arnold went to the door, but it was locked. He started to worry. "Marie? Marie!" he called. No answer. Arnold frantically tried to pull open the door, but it wouldn't budge. He finally kicked the door down and saw the window wide open. He too walked out on to the roof and saw her body on the ground next to the grave. Arnold began to tear up and start bawling. He couldn't take it anymore. First Joseph, and now Marie, too? Arnold took a deep breath and jumped. His body landed next to Marie and the grave for Joseph. When the neighbors found out about the incident the next day, they called the police. It became obvious after some investigating that it was a double suicide. The police quickly dropped the case and left the house to rot and decay. Kids have tried walking past for fun, but no one enters the house. Rumors were started that if you went in, the ghosts of Marie and Arnold would pull you up the stairs and throw you out the window to suffer like they did.

I've never been to a haunted house, but there's an abandoned house down the street from my house that inspired the design. The family that lived there was troubled, and one day, they just left. The house now just sits there and collects dust.
